This is exactly what I tell people I'm growing in the back yard when they freak out about us homeschooling. "Of course I am growing cotton in my back yard so I can begin to spin it to make our own clothes. I will also shear my sheep for nice warm coats for us, pick up tire pieces off the side of the road to make our own shoes, and milk my cow twice a day for our fresh milk to of course churn my own butter!"

Neat, I've seen the other stages, but I do not believe I've seen a bloom either.
